JNTU-GV College of Engineering Vizianagaram is one of the constituent Engineering Colleges of JNTU-GV playing a vital role in imparting Technological Education in the state of Andhra Pradesh since its establishment in the year 2007. The state-of-the-art campus is spread across 80 Acres in Dwarapudi panchayat at a distance of 8 KMs from Vizianagaram. It function under the directions of Executive Council, Vice chancellor and Registrar of JNTU-GV Vizianagaram. Principal is the executive head of the institution and Chairman of the College academic committee comprising all professors and heads of the department. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK) was initially incepted the name “The College of Engineering – Vizagapatnam” in 1946. The university grew out of that college. Spread over a sprawling campus of 110 acres in port city of Kakinada, the college became a constituent unit of JNTU Hyderabad in 1972. Subject to the bifurcation of JNTU, it was notified as JNTUK by the act of legislature in 2008 as separate university.
JNTUK has two constituent colleges under its fold: University College of Engineering (autonomous) Kakinada and University College of Engineering Vizianagaram. The university has a nearly 268 affiliated colleges under the jurisdiction of 8 districts.
